About Me

With over twenty-five years in the hospitality industry, my career has evolved alongside the industry itself.

When I began, “hospitality” as a concept was still emerging—our focus was on meeting people’s needs, whether through quality food, refreshing drinks, or attentive service. Today, it’s about creating memorable experiences that leave a lasting impression, a transformation driven by social media, technological advancements, and shifting cultural expectations.

Credentials Built Over Four Decades of Hospitality Leadership

Through years of dedication, I have honed a practical understanding of these changes, learning what it takes to succeed in a fast-paced, client-centered world.

My experience spans across roles as a pub and restaurant manager, hotel manager, Retail Development Manager, and Head of Retail within UK breweries.

These roles instilled in me a deep understanding of hospitality, from both operational and strategic perspectives, and a passion for fostering genuine, impactful customer experiences.

Over the years, I have also run my own leased pub, a venture that brought me closer to my community and allowed me to experience the pride of serving quality food and delivering exceptional service.

My journey hasn’t been without its challenges—I’ve weathered economic recessions, faced the frustration of being let down by team members, and balanced the difficult line between work and personal life.

Like many business owners, I have made my share of mistakes. However, each one taught me a lesson that I now share with my clients, helping them avoid the same pitfalls.

I know first-hand the importance of maintaining a realistic work-life balance and making thoughtful decisions, even in the face of adversity.

These experiences shape my coaching, providing practical insights that I share with hospitality professionals striving for success.

In 2022, I transitioned formally into business coaching with training from the international coaching organisation Tricres.
